Welcome to Ebony Falls. The place where everybody wants to be, but once they come they can't escape. Why? Because Ebony Falls is a tourism hotspot however it has a huge secret that even its inhabitants are oblivious; the Falls are home to the shifters.
Long ago in a small Minnesota town a scientist was in deep study. She figured that if she could fuse human DNA with that of long living creatures such tortoises that the result would be a human with the lifespan of a tortoise. The first test was on a pregnant mother, one who had recently been raped and didn't want her child. For the first test she infused fly DNA into the unborn child. The child only lived about a week after birth. The test had worked. She then tried it on somebody else but with that of a wolf. However, something went horribly wrong. She injected too much wolf DNA causing not just the aging gene but the fur and muscle build as well. The test subject was a twelve year old runaway girl. When the scientist came to check on her one day, there was a pure white wolf on the bed with dark gray tear stains down its cheeks. The wolf's eyes read loud and clear: "What have you done to me?" Thinking the girl had completely transformed into a wolf, she released her into the woods surrounding the city. When the girl had woken from her sedation, she was once again human. She trained herself to control her power until she was comfortable enough to live again with humans. One day, she saw her older cousin. They chatted for a while and when her blood kin asked where she had been, she grew uncomfortable. Switching into wolf form, the girl revealed her true self. "Change me, too," the cousin said. And so it was done. Soon they found out that more of them were coming. That the "screw-ups" of the scientist were coming to join them. And so became Ebony Falls
Shifters are pouring in at Ebony Falls. The cousins, Talia and Ebony Gray are now part of a Pack. Many shifters join for the protection and understanding of extended family. Currently, they are the only Pack. They call themselves Wynennia. Ebony Falls has become a tourism hot spot for its forests and wonderous black waters. But more and more shifters are being changed instead of being made. It seems that most of them are tourists. Now Ebony Falls is being branded the place where everybody wants to be, but once they come they can't escape. Soon shifters stopped coming in after a human shot a pitch black wolf out of hunting season. Shifters had been discovered. The wolf had been Emile Greyson, the creator of all the shifter tourists. However, his son lived on. He is definatly not like his father, a kind and caring soul. His name is Logan Greyson. He and Talia really hit it off. They are both in love with each other but hide it with bristling disliking. Niether of them know the real truth of each other but Ebony does. Wynennia might have its Alpha.
The future of shifters looks bleak. With the Wynennian Betess getting married and the Alphess hiding her feelings and shifters not even daring to reproduce, the hunters are gaining on them. Shifters are dissappearing, being shot and killed. If something big doesn't happen, shifters are good as dead. |
